Sunday was drop off day for the Imaginarium exhibition at Gamut Gallery. This show features the work of Brett Early and Kate Renee. Earlier in September, Cassie and Mark from Gamut came to my studio and checked out some of my work. They chose a few pieces they were interested in hosting in the space. I added a few more pieces and made a few new works. By the time I finished prepping all the works, framing and packing them up, I had about 40 works!

My Saturn was not big enough to drive everything to Gamut so I borrowed my mother’s van. I also enlisted the help of my sister Sarah from Sarah Johnson Designs (pictured) to help pack up the vehicle. She also helped unload all the works once we got to the gallery.

I layered my large 30″ X 40″ paintings in the back between a large stack of towels and blankets.  The smaller works and other supplies I needed to bring were boxed. All the cute trolls I made are in the cardboard box.

Here is a sneak peak of the trolls! There will be 21 of them total. All custom made with different colors, hair styles, and gem belly buttons. People have been expressing a lot of excitement  and  interest in them already!

This Saturday November 3rd is the opening reception for Imaginarium at Gamut Gallery in downtown Minneapolis.

It begins at 7-10 PM! All are welcome to come; bring friends and family!

This year, I have been transitioning my branding to Kate Renee! Its been a slow and steady process since December but everything is just about all changed over.

I also have a brand new Kate Renee artist website created by Sarah Johnson Designs  who is a local Minnesotan graphic designer and website developer. She is my go-to-woman for all things HTML. Shes also creating a web based newsletter for me to email out and share whats new and exciting in my arts career. If you check out her web portfolio you can check out my past artist websites that she has created for me!

I finally got my Facebook Artist Page to switch over which was the last and hardest thing to figure out how to change. And I am doling out the last few old business cards and ready to feature my new Kate Renee ones along side my bright lime green custom printed pens too!

So while I’ve changed my artist name, I’m still the same artist with the quirky eyed character art!

Here’s my new website: http://www.katerenee.com/
